With over 24 years of combined experience in launching and managing various businesses, we've accumulated a wealth of knowledge, including some hard-earned lessons along the way. At Wiza, we've taken these insights and approached things differently, aiming not just to offer great products, but to build something that truly resonates with our clients.
One of the key shifts in our approach has been our focus on really understanding our clients by actively listening to their needs. In the business world, it's easy to get carried away with a great idea or product, and many entrepreneurs fall into the trap of pushing their vision without taking the time to understand what their customers truly want. We’ve seen this time and again—too much energy spent talking about an incredible tool or service, and not enough time spent listening. At Wiza, we aim to reverse that trend. Our clients are the heartbeat of our business, and their feedback is our guidepost for improvement and innovation. By putting their needs at the forefront, we’ve been able to create solutions that not only meet their expectations but exceed them.
It’s about building a solid foundation that includes processes, systems, people, policies, and infrastructure. The success of any business isn’t just in the offering, but in how it operates behind the scenes. We’ve learnt that if your internal structure isn’t set up properly, scaling up becomes an exercise in frustration rather than growth. You can’t build on shaky ground, so before focusing on expansion, we’ve got to make sure that everything—from our workflows to our team dynamics—is running smoothly. Like many of you out there this is a working process!!!
Another key takeaway has been the importance of scaling up only what works. There’s a temptation to try to scale every part of a business, but that can be a dangerous path. If something isn't working, trying to grow it will only drain resources and divert attention from areas with real potential.
This allows us to put our energy into areas where we can truly make an impact, instead of spreading ourselves too thin.
In summary, what we’ve learnt and still learning is that the foundation of any successful venture lies in doing things right from the beginning. By listening to our clients, focusing on strong internal structures, and scaling what works, we’re able to build a business that’s not only (hopefully) sustainable but poised for growth. As we continue on this journey, these lessons remain our guiding principles, helping us stay focused on the future without losing sight of what matters most: delivering value to our clients.
